I'm not DETERMINED to get fit. I am fit. I am determined to stay this way. I saved myself from a life of obesity, ridicule, diabetes, and a number of health issues. At 25 years old, I topped the scale at 197 pounds. Today, I weigh 122 pounds.
Like most, i started off just reblogging fitness photos. I wanted to be someone else. In reality I had no determination to make any real change to my body. I woke up one day when that number flashing back at me on the scale was nearly 200 pounds. You'll see a lapse in time on my blog. That was the time I took (about six months) to kick my own ass into shape. I didn't lose all the weight at that time, though. Just a significant amount. In those six months, I refocused my priorities.
I'm here because I see so many people giving the wrong advice; it's heart breaking. I want to teach people my way. Not that it's the right way, but it's worked for me, and it's worked for others. I'm an HKC certified personal trainer. I'm a nutritionist counselor. I don't sit at the other end of a computer and preach what I don't know to not work.
